OAO “R&D” Company “Start” belongs to the business group OAO “Concern “Sozvezdie” (Voronezh). It was established in 2005 based on FGUP “Voronezh Research Institute for Communication”. Its aim was to preserve and develop the research and production possibilities of radio electronic enterprises and to concentrate professional resources to create systems for defense purposes and to design and manufacture products for civil consumption.
The Concern’s main business lines are the design and development of automatic control and communication systems, radio electronic counteraction for tactical and strategic Defense Ministry control and new radio electronic equipment for other sectors of the national economy.
